K. Arunkumar's fiver -the highlight in Cosmo Village S.A.'s semi final victory

The tournament gearing to the final  stage with  the semi  final matches at SNR Ground  on this sunday  (18.03.2012).  In the first semi final match between Cosmo Village S.A  and  Coimbatore Raiders, Cosmo Village entered the  final after defeating Coimbatore  Raiders commendably. Cosmo Scored 144/8 in 20 overs.  I. John Baptist  was the impressive bowler who took 3 for 21 for Coimbatore Raiders. Coimbatore Raiders put an impressive reply with V. Sreenath scoring 48. But K. Arunkumar who took 5 for 24 along with S. Eswara Moorthy who took 3 for 17 ended the match in Cosmo's favour.

Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC stormed into finals

In the other semi final encounter, Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC entered the final after defeating Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC in the after noon match at SNR. Mills posted 155/8 in 20 overs with N. Jagadeesan and K. Nazer scoring 43 and 36 respectively. A. Azhagendran and P. Vasanthakumar of Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC bowled impressively and shared 3 wickets each for 23 & 29 respectively. Then it was a team effort which bowled the Arumugam Eleven Patriots CC for 95 in 18.1 overs. It would be a dream for any team to enter a final in such a royal way.

Jolly Friends XI wins

R. Chandramouli scored 41 in Jolly Friends's score of 190/9 in 50 overs against Rainbow Wizards. In reply Rainbow Wizards scored 180 in 46 overs with M. Rajarajan scoring 37. Rajeel Abdul Rahman was the pick of the bowlers for Jolly Friends who took 3 for 54.

SERVALL TROPHY CDCA III DIVISION

Pranab Naidu perfoms in C.I.T's victory

C.I.T scored 139 with C. Rajesh scoring 40 and T. Karthick scoring 32. Sittarasan's (Miracle CC) impressive bowling (4 for 19) was the major reason behind CIT's low score. But it was Pranab Naidu's bowling which enabled C.I.T to defend the score. He took 4 for 24 and turned the match in CIT's favour.

UNIDRIVELINE TROPHY CDCA II DIVISION

Arumugam C.C wins

Coimbatore raiders C.A posted 170 with S. Ramu and G. Dinesh Pandi scoring 75 and 30 respectively.M.N. Harikumar picked 3 for 35 for Arumugam CC. Solid batting display from S. Huzefa and V. Sudhakar who scored 70 and 43 respectively consolidated the run chase for Arumugam CC.

Kaleeswar C.C won comfortably

By posting a solid 240 on board with R. Niranjan and S. Mohammed Kuthuf scoring 44 and 31 respectively, Kaleeswar C.C won the match comprehensively against PSG Tech. Madan Lal Choudhary who scored a century on last sunday against TCC performed with the ball (3 for 48) for PSG Tech this sunday. Aravind Mahalingam scored 66 and remained unbeaten in the chase for PSG but found no partner to chase the target.
