TNCA UNDER 16 FIRST ROUND

Sorry for the delay in publishing this last day match results in the zone - Trichy.

Vellore leads the zone

On 22.07.2012, in the Turf wicket (Saranathan Engineering College), Vellore DCA won the toss and elected to bat against DCA of Tirupur. Vellore DCA was restricted to 152 in 38.5 Overs. T.R. Logeshwaran, P. Yogeshwaran & K. Chandru took three wickets each for 31, 37 & 25 respectively for Tirupur. M.E. Tamil Dileepan and S. Saravana scored 39 and 32 respectively for Vellore DCA. In reply Tirupur's consistent performer, Hari G Sehwag managed to score 35 and T.R Logeshwaran scored 27. Vellore bowled out Tirupur to 107 in 38.1 Overs. G. Wilson, K. Madhan Kumar & S. Sakthivel took three wickets each for 17, 28 & 7 respectively for Vellore. Vellore DCA won the match by 45 runs with a bonus point and topped the zone.

Trichy moves to Round II

On 22.07.2012, At Saranathan Engineering College in the matting wicket, Trichy DCA won the toss and elected bat against Dharmapuri DCA. Trichy scored 215/8 in 50 overs. S. Harish scored 65 and R.S. Jagdeeswara Uthrah scored 60 for Trichy and M. Saravana Kumar took three wickets for 44. Dharmapuri in reply scored 170 in 48.1 overs with the fighting performances from S. Winston Churchill and V. Akash Ishravel who scored 48 each. M. Nagendran scored 27 in a supporting role for Dharmapuri. But it was R. Rakesh and A. Astle who restricted Dharmapuri and claimed 4 for 34 and 3 for 32 respectively. Trichy DCA won the match by 45 runs with a bonus point and retained their second place in the zone.

Better luck next time to Dharmapuri DCA and DCA of Tirupur.

UNI DRIVE LINE TROPHY - 29.07.2012

In the Coimbatore District Cricket Association's [TNCA - CDCA] II division league match for Uni drive line trophy played in PSG Ims Ground, Coimbatore, Suryabala CC won the match against Arumugam CC in a low scoring match.

Arumugam CC restricted Suryabala CC to 125 in 38.5 Overs with the excellent bowling spells from T. Gurunathan (3/32) and V. Sudhakar (3/23). But it was Rajaram & Co in Suryabala's Bowling who allowed Arumugam CC to score 63 alone. Raja ram took 4 wickets for 20.
