TNCA UNDER 14 - ROUND II

In the TNCA Inter districts age group under 14, II round match at Nagapattinam, Nagapattinam DCA played against DCA of Tirupur on 01.09.2012 and 02.09.2012.

DCA of Tirupur (DCAT) won the toss and chose to bat. DCAT scored 97 in 68.2 Overs. N. Hari Bharathi scored 29 and D. Rahul scored 26* for DCAT. R. Aravindh picked 3 wickets for 19.

Nagapattinam scored 109/5 in 42 overs at the end of Day 1. A. Arjun scored 46 and S. Syed Aziz scored 26. NDCA took a lead of 12 runs.

On Day 2, Nagapattinam were bowled out for 143 in 55.5 overs with a first innings lead of 46 runs. N. Hari Bharathi picked 4 wickets for 37 for DCA of Tirupur. DCA of Tirupur scored 69 in 37.5 overs in the second innings. P. Pradosh Ranjan Paul scored 36 for Tirupur. P. Kathiravan took 7 wickets for 24.

Nagapattinam achieved the target of 24 runs with no loss of wickets. Nagapattinam scored 26/0 in 2.4 overs. S. Syed Aziz remained unbeaten on 20.

Nagapattinam won the match by 10 wickets and advances to third round of the tournament.

TNCA UNDER 14 - ROUND I

In the TNCA Age group under 14, I round match, at Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic, Nagapattinam, Nagapattinam DCA played against Namakkal DCA.

S.Syed Aziz, Nagapattinam

Nagai won the toss and chose to field. Namakkal DCA were bowled for 19 in 8.3 overs. S.Syed Aziz and Kathiravan shared 5 wickets each for 7 & 9 respectively for Nagapattinam.

Kathiravan, Nagapattinam

Nagapattinam scored 20/1 in 6 overs. Nagapattinam won the match by 9 wickets with a bonus point and topped the zone.

In the same zone at SBAT Mini Stadium, Poraiyur, Theni Played against Tirunelveli DCA. Theni won the toss and chose to bat. Theni DCA scored 102 in  49.5 overs. M. Surya and G. Sriram picked 3 wickets each for 22 & 18 for Tirunelveli DCA. Tirunelveli DCA chased down the target in 16.2 overs with no loss of wickets. G. Sriram did the starer for Tirunelveli scoring an unbeaten 80. Tirunelveli DCA won the match by 10 wickets with a bonus point as well and qualified for the next round.
