On 23.01.2013, in the TNCA Senior Inter districts tournament for S.S Rajan Trophy quarterfinal match played at Trichy, Trichy DCA beat Villupuram DCA.

At Saranathan Engineering College (Turf Wicket) Trichy DCA played against Villupuram DCA.

G.Rajesh, TDCA

Trichy DCA scored 211 in 48.2 Overs with G. Rajesh top scoring-49 and well supported by M. Prithviraj and C.S Jaganathan who scored 29 & 28 respectively.

In reply Villupuram DCA scored 127 in 36.5 Overs with M. Sridhar raj scoring 43 and V. Sakthivel scoring 36.

Congrats to Trichy DCA!!!

Trichy DCA would be playing against Coimbatore DCA in their semi final encounter.

The Other semi finalists in the tournament are Kancheepuram DCA and DCA of Tirupur.

Summary:

Senior Inter Districts Match at Tiruchirappalli

On 22.01.2013, in the TNCA - Senior Inter districts' tournament match played at Trichy, Trichy DCA beat Perambalur DCA by 10 wickets.

At Bishop Heber College, Perambalur DCA faced Trichy DCA. Perambalur won the toss and chose to bat. Perambalur DCA was bowled out to 93 in 27.1 Overs.

Trichy DCA's opening bowler R.Nishant bowled well and took 3 wickets for 17 runs. Captain A. Salim scalped 6 wickets for 32 runs in his spell of 8.1 overs while Taufik took 1 wicket for 10 runs.

In the chase, Trichy DCA achieved target in 13.5 Overs with 10 wickets in hand.

Senior Inter Districts Tournament

On 21.01.2013, in the S.S Rajan Trophy Seniors' Inter district tournament conducted by TNCA played at Trichy, Trichy DCA beat Sivagangai DCA by 236 runs.

In the knock out matches, Trichy played against Sivagangai, Villupuram played against Theni, and Nilgiris played against Perambalur DCA. Thiruvallur DCA had a bye and scheduled to play against the winner of Villupuram - Theni match.

A. Praveen Kumar, TDCA

At Bishop Heber College, Putthur, Trichy, Trichy DCA played against Sivagangai DCA. After won the toss Trichy elected to bat and scored 311/7 in 50 Overs with useful contributions from its batsmen.

Wicket-keeper cum opener A. Praveen Kumar scored 70 runs while his partner G. Rajesh scored 29. 

J. Harikrishnan

J. Harikrishnan in the middle scored a quickfire 73 well supported by Elanchezhian and R. Nishant who scored 28 & 30* respectively.

A.Salim, TDCA Captain

A captain's innings could not be forgotten as Trichy Skipper A. Salim scored 36 runs and scalped 3 wickets for 13 runs with his off spin and two important catches.

For Sivagangai DCA, it was K. Anok Raju and Prabakaran bowled efficiently and took 4 wickets and 2 wickets respectively.

A. Mohammed Taufiq

A shock was actually awaiting for Sivagangai DCA until Mohamed Taufiq comes into bowl. The Left arm pacer at his very first over took two wickets in the first two balls. He finished his spell of 5 overs with 3 maidens, 3 runs and 4 wickets.

R. Nishant, TDCA

R. Nishant and Jagan shared 1 wickets each for Trichy DCA.

Summary: THIRUCHIRAPPALLI D.C.A 311 for Seven in 50 overs J.Hari Krishnan 73, A. Pravin kumar 70, A.Salim 36,R.Nishant 30 (Not Out), G.Rajesh 29, K.Anok Raju 4 for 74 beat SIVAGANGAI D.C.A. 75  in 24.5 overs A.Mohamed Taufik four for 3, A.Salim three for 13.

On the other two matches played at Saranathan Engineering College (Matting and Turf wickets)

VILLUPURAM D.C.A 165  in 46.4 overs K.Vignesh 27 , I Sudesh  four for 26, beat THENI D.C.A 85 in 26.2 overs I.Vignesh 37, B.Kamalanathan four for 18

NILGIRIS D.C.A 154 in 34.3 overs V.P.Subash 33, C.Mohan 32, I.Abbas 27,E.Kennady three for 15, R.Arunprasath three for 36,lost to PREAMBALUR D.C.A 155 for seven in 39.5 overs R.Vasudevan 45,N.Kalaiarasan 30 I.Abbas four for 29.
